Doc Benson, President

Doc started out in the field of railroad management, eventually making the move to service in both ministry and media.  First serving as a news producer for a CBS affiliate, Doc later went on to manage a television station, act as an on-air talent and produce programming seen across the country.   His first feature film, SEVEN DEADLY WORDS received international distribution and earned Doc three “Best Director” awards.  He has gone on to direct, manage, and appear in other award winning movies and is also a multi-award winning screenwriter and columnist. 

Doc holds degrees in Business Administration, Transportation Logistics, and Ministry.  He travels the country speaking at film festivals and conferences about the business of filmmaking.

Jamie Lee Smith, Vice President

A native of Colorado, Jamie holds degrees in both Political Science & International Relations.  She began her career in the music industry and made the transition into the development of a production company Global Rockstar Productions.  Jamie and GRP have made significant contributions to films such as JUMPER, BATTLE LOS ANGELES, 51, UP IN THE AIR, MONTANA SKY, PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN, MIRROR MIRROR, THINGS WE DO FOR LOVE, and more.  She has also been involved with such TV series as The Philanthropist, CSI, Chicago Fire, Real Housewives, various reality shows, and NCIS: New Orleans. 

Most recently, Jamie Lee has expended into independent film making as an Executive Producer, Producer and Assistant director, including working with Doc Benson on LOSING BREEN and SEVEN DEADLY WORDS, which has won more accolades than any other faith-based film to date.  When not working on films, Jamie Lee travels the world speaking at conferences for women, entrepreneurs and young filmmakers.  She speaks several languages.

Milt Nuzum, Treasurer

Milt is the Managing Member of Three-L Media Productions, LLC. Milt is also currently Director of Judicial and Education Services Division at the Supreme Court of Ohio. He has been with the Court since 2007 serving initially as Director of the Judicial College then assuming his current division director responsibilities in 2011.

 

In addition to his experience at the Supreme Court of Ohio, he has been employed as a pharmaceutical process engineer, pharmacist, attorney, judge, and information technology policy consultant. He has held elected office, having served on two public school boards and 13 years as an elected judge in Ohio. He has written many articles for professional publications and newsletters. He has also presented seminars and taught courses on various legal and court administration topics in Ohio, nationally, and internationally.

 

Milt is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy and the Indiana University School of Law.

Cole Smith, Secretary

Cole Smith is a writer and Creative Vision Strategist. She's the author of the cozy mystery, Waiting for Jacob, the young adult novel, Ursula Spark and the Fourth Frankenstein, and several workbooks for writers. She shares inspiration, encouragement, and tips for creative overwhelm at her website, COLE SMITH WRITES.
